Question of the Week
With all the snow and ice last week, most businesses downtown shoveled their sidewalks, but some didn't.
How do you feel about those stores, bars, etc. who didn't take the time to make their business safe for their customers?

Call me a hillbilly, but I'm not inclined to waste energy on something nature is going to be doing soon, namely melt it. If course, if I lived farther north, my attitude would have to change. But that's one reason hillbillies don't live farther north.

I have to admit that it bugs me when shops want my business but expect me to step on their icy sidewalks.

You're just itching for someone to say something bad about a Downtown business, aren't you?

There is probably a local ordinance that requires both business and home owners to clear the sidewalk in front of their property of ice and snow for public safety reasons... You could probably call the cops on the businesses for an ordinance violation and they would have to cite them for failure to maintain a safe place of business...
